Now Open :: Hot Joy

Sizzling Pan-Asian pop-up restaurant opens in Dallas for two years.

Hot Joy
3130 Lemmon Ave.

You’re a sucker for anything limited edition and have waited in ridiculous lines to prove it.

Get in the queue for Uptown’s newest sought-after eatery, Hot Joy. A spin-off of the wildly-popular San Antonio original, which made Bon Appétit’s list of America’s best new restaurants, the temporary pop-up will be in Dallas for only two years. The vibe is a retro-chic take on Shanghai Western with colorful cowboy and dragon murals framing the cozy wooden tables. Dishing out Pan-Asian cuisine, the menu features creative plates like crab fat caramel wings and black sesame mole chicken, while the cocktails take you to tiki-town with options like a guava mule and china chino punch.

The fare is finite, the bragging rights unlimited.
